Tuscan Dream Editorial

If you have been dreaming of Tuscany then this is the perfect post for you! In a creative collaboration of designers and vendors, this shoot creates an authentic “Tuscan Dream” for the bridal party and brides to be.

The rich terracotta architecture and Autumn foliage surrounding the courtyard, with The Brides Market providing the perfect backdrop and inspiration for the tangerine, cream and green colour palette.

The overall concept was designed to complement a Flower Crown workshop being held at the same venue, as well as highlight the stunning floral crowns worn by the beautiful bride and flower girl. The genuine affection and connection shared between the two was beautifully captured by We Are Twine and Motion Reel Films, and represents the magic and adoration shown between flower girls and brides on the wedding day.

The floral crown worn by the bride was embellished with tangerine cottage roses, peonies, white lavender straight from the garden, rosemary and olive foliage. While the little flower girl’s crown was adorned with delicate orange spray roses and touches of foliage to enhance the Tuscan theme.

The Tuscan feel is continued on through the tablescape, featuring a terracotta planter filled with a range of florals and foliage typical of Tuscany. The exposed wooden trestle table provided an old world charm and added character to the scene.

Bella Bloom Floral Crown Workshop

Bella Bloom Floral Designs held their flower crown workshop in conjunction with The Bride’s Market on Sunday 12 June. Twelve attendees learned how to create their very own crown in a two hour hands-on workshop.

Kelly from Bella Bloom Floral Designs taught participants the basic principles of design and colour selection (utilising the colour wheel) and offered helpful tips and hints on flower care, as well as flower choices to create a long lasting, fresh flower crown. Simple florist techniques for wiring flowers were shared and participants got to work with a range of flowers and textures to create their designs.

The afternoon was organised to coincide with a ”Tuscan Dream” photo shoot styled by Celebrations by Alysia, so those attending walked into the most beautiful pebbled courtyard with rustic tables and chairs supplied by AVideas that were decorated with olive and rosemary foliage, cumquats and oranges. (Festoon lighting was also supplied by Avideas)

It truly was a fun afternoon with refreshments served by August and Lucy in glassware provided byFancy Tea. Decadent brownies by Dello Mano were also a delightful treat. The Wondery also provided booklets for participants to take notes, and Jennine from Florabella Design offered her expertise and assistance on the day.

We Are Twine was also on hand to capture the workshop and those who attended had photos taken wearing their creations to remember forever! Wouldn’t you agree the workshop attendees did a fantastic job? Bella Bloom Floral Designs would like to thank all the vendors who helped to ensure the workshop was a huge success!

Real Couples Shoot

“The concept behind this competition was simple, we wanted to create a beautiful heartfelt shoot that really goes to the core of what The Bride’s Market is all about, love and support.  We wanted to celebrate the love between two people, so we invited local couples to share their love stories with us in the hope we would find a pair of loved up faces to shine through and represent us in some stunning imagery.

We were completely overwhelmed by the response with a total of 38 couples entering!  In the end the votes were unanimous and Taran and Carlin were chosen to be our first ever TBM Real Couple winners. I can tell you now that the voting was quite stressful as there were so many wonderful entries!

It has been lovely getting to know Taran and Carlin through this journey and to top it off they celebrated their own wedding just a couple of days ago which is doubly special.

All of the vendors who participated in the shoot not only helped choose our winning couple they also created a day that was simply magical and one I will never forget as I am sure neither will Carlin and Taran!

As we move in to another exciting phase of The Bride’s Market we are forever thankful for the love and support we receive from those in the industry!  We are also here to support you and help you grow your heartfelt business into something that you are truly proud of.  Stay tuned for an exciting announcement about how you can join us, coming soon!

The Wedding Cake Workshop

The Bride’s Market hosted an afternoon of cake and champagne with special guest Bree from The Cake that Ate Paris. Bree showcased some of her amazing cakes and explained how she creates them with some great tips and advice on choosing the perfect flavours and style.

The girls from August and Lucy brought Gilbert with them and provided a steady flow of tea, coffee and champagne which complemented the sweet treats. The beautiful event was photographed by the lovely Amanda from We are Twine and she really captured the relaxed vibe of the afternoon.

Imagine declaring your undying love beneath an arch of vines, standing in a sea of candles. Marsala and brass educe rich, grounded elegance and an earthiness of spirit. A ribbon embroidered tulle gown and brass headpiece intertwine as a throwback to antiquity.
